Hendrik Sturm is a walking artist. He walks in urban and suburban areas. His routes are developed from fieldwork and archival research. One of the walks in his repertoire is the one that follows the straight line of the Galerie de la mer, an underground conduit that connects the mines of Gardanne to the autonomous port of Marseille.
The film is a walk, made in November 2006 with the film critic Patrick Leboutte and the philosopher Jean-Paul Curnier.
