Belgium 1980. On the banks of the Meuse, in the colossal setting of a steel town, factories close down one by one and fire workers in droves. Among those laid off, Fabrice, 35, proud of a craft to which fire and steel gave a mythological aura, feels that he is no longer of any use… His wife, Céline, tries to revive his taste for life. Despite moments of regained happiness, Fabrice remains walled up in his distress and, one day, disappears… As if love could triumph over everything, Céline sets out to look for him and finds him. She tries one last time to save him from himself. Can love revive a lost man? Céline bets on it.
