Nadia, the daughter of an abstract painter who died twenty years ago, lives in a working-class district of Liège. She shows us around her loft, where dozens of canvasses are piled up in the dark. The painter Roger La Croix (1933-1984) lived and died in bleak, lonely poverty on the margins of society. The film begins an investigation into the life, death and work of this Liège-born artist of exceptional talent and destiny.
